To ensure we provide our patients with the highest level of care, both Dr. Edgerton and Dr. Fisher are active within the dental community. By attending such dental conventions, Edgerton and Fisher Dentistry can continue to offer the newest dental techniques and technology. In keeping with this tradition, Dr. Fisher attended the North Carolina Dental Society’s 160th annual convention in Myrtle Beach, SC May 19th to 22nd.
The North Carolina Dental Society, or NCDS, was first founded in Raleigh in 1856 by a few doctors to promote the art and science of dentistry and has since grown to nearly 3,600 member dentists, which represents 7% of all active dentists in North Carolina. While the NCDS has strong roots in the past, it also aims to promote continued dentistry progress.
As the annual session is a way to meet and learn from other North Carolina dental professionals, Dr. Fisher attended several continuing education conferences throughout the two day continuing education event. Potential topics for the NCDS session ranged from Innovative Periodontics, Designing and Delivering Complex Restorative and Multidisciplinary Cases, and Contemporary Management of Temporomandibular Dysfunction. In addition to the formal seminars, Dr. Fisher attended several events including an exhibit hall with several major dental organizations and firms and additional informal seminars such as Advanced Concepts in Direct and Indirect Restorative Dentistry, The 5 Ps of Porcelain Veneers, and the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners Information Session.
We know that attending such as informative regional conference with such wide ranging topics will certainly help continue to provide our patients with the best care in the industry. If you are in need of dental care, please contact us today for a free consultation!
